2007 has been a great year for the club on and off the field. We have continued to grow in player numbers and club members.
This year we fielded teams in the U/6 div1, U/6 div 4, U/7div 1’s, U/7 div 3 U/8div 1, U/8 div 3, U/10’s, U/11’s and U/14’s. With all players receiving a Dolphin football, Fleecy and going on an end of season trip (Jamberoo for the 10’s, 11’s & 14’s) or day out (Luna Park 6’s, 7’s & 8’s).

The Coogee Dolphins A Reserve grade 2007 season can be summed up in a few words "so near yet so far”. After dominating the competition from round 1 and easily wrapping up the Minor Premiership with 4 weeks remaining it ended up in a heartbreaking grand final loss to the third placed Redfern all Blacks who we had easily accounted for during the regular season.

 Our number one supporter and true inspiration to our A and A Reserve Team, Johnno Ward, underwent a successful liver transplant recently and everybody wanted to lend a hand. In true Dolphins spirit the boys and Girls of the Dolphins and the mums, dads and friends of the Ward family rallied around and met up at the Charring Cross pub for a night of raffles, auctions live music and laughter. Johnno’s dad gave and update of how his little battler is doing, and when Alby read a note out from Johnno’s mum (who was by Johnno’s bedside) you could have heard a pin drop.
