:. MY FIRST GAME

I have been fortunate to coach with the valuable help of Michael O'Sullivan (Micky O for short) the Mighty Under 6 Blue Team in 2007.

Everyone including myself had massive butterflies before the game. We had preformed well in the trials but it's all about the start of the comp. It was critical that we got the season off on the right foot and the kids didn't disappoint. Taking the cash on the day. We are sure to have a great 2007. Thanks to Lombard Finance and PRD Nationwide for Sponsoring the Team. Special Thanks to all the Parents for allowing your kids to get involved with the club!

:. BARDEN PARK

We actually got there!!

After six months of rigorous campaigning, the DA for lighting at Bardon Park has been approved by Randwick Council.

This victory enables the club to finally have a home ground to ensure our Junior teams have an environment to flourish in, for years to come. We have created a legacy that will allow our Juniors to be looked after well into the future. It is important to note that from day one I was told that the Club was a long shot to get the DA approved. Even on the night just before Council convened to vote I was told that the Bardon Park DA would not get over the line.

:. SEASON LAUNCH

The Season Launch kicked off on Friday 23 March at Crowne Plaza and was a great success. Apart from the beer(s) band, excellent selection of food from the Carvery Station and the obvious good company, the highlight of the night was the surprise feature....a mechanical bucking bronco football.

:. DAVID MAVROUDIS SHIELD

The annual David Mavroudis Memorial Shield between Coogee Dolphins/Wagga Magpies (now known as South City) game was played at Wagga Wagga on Saturday 3 March in soaring heat and dust (thanks to the long hot Wagga summer and drought).
It was a toss up whether the spectators or the players suffered the most! The South City team came out winners on the day 22-20 making the scores 3-2 to the Wagga boys over the five years the game has been played.
