Gerard, my brother. He is not just a brother whom I so love and miss but an uncle to my children who speak as if he is still nearby and laugh each time, (Mr Sheriard). Not long before Bali I spoke to Gerard on the phone and remember telling my wife how I had a good yak with him. I so much wish that these moments were more frequent. I so much wish that we could do it one more time. One day we will.

A brother so loved and sadly missed. His life was stopped short, but he packed more into his 20yrs than most do in a lifetime. Gerard was special in many ways. He was a warm and caring boy with amazing qualities. He had a deep love for all his familiy and friends. He kept every Birthday and Christmas Card since he was a child, every Football Program with his brothers ' names. He genuinely cared for those less fortunate than most and had a real gift with children. So many people are blessed....because he lived. God must have bigger plans for him now. Gerard you will travel with me in my heart everyday, until we meet again.
Your loving sister, Megan
Gerard (Mr Sheriard as he was affectionally known by his niece and nephew)was my brother-in-law. He had all the time in the world for those kids, letting them jump all over him and playing wrestles only ever stopping when they were tired. Mr Sheriard was one of the most patient people when it came to kids, like all of his siblings really, but I suppose that comes with being one of 8. There is not a day that goes past that we don 't grieve for our loss, but we take solace in the fact that Gerard went the only way he would have wanted to....having a great time with a drink in his hand, a smile on his dial, surrounded by mates and the music cranking in the background. Gerard knew how to have a great time and stay 'til close, and the stories you hear seem to get better as time goes on. We consider ourselves lucky to have such a great person in our family and for our family to be as close as we are, because with that we know that we all knew the real Mr Sheriard and anyone else who knew him has also been touched by a truly remarkable person.

Gerard, our fun loving cousin. You will be in our thoughts and hearts forever. We will always remember the time we spent with you and that smile and laugh.
Love forever The Wilson 's
My little brother had a fabulous personality and was a likeable character who had a passion for football, family and friends. Gerard was well known in our family as a party lover who had no inhibitions on the dance floor and was always keen for a family get together. Our family were lucky enough to spend a great weekend with him the week before he left for Bali as we celebrated a cousins wedding. We had even done the ritual Yeo family photo where Gerard is 'front and centre ' and ALL of us are laughing. We miss you Gerard, if not for the attention seeking head butting as a toddler; the 'maniquin making ' antics as a young teenager; the rumbles and care you showed to your nieces and nephews; or for the stories and memories of you at the pub; then it will be for that gorgeous smile and those warm cuddles that you gave so freely. There are so many memories...
Love forever Rachel, Lew, Cracka Jack, Baby Zita, Ringabell and freaky Phoebe
