Messages collected for all Dolphins
Life lived well. In death you will be missed. I feel for your families and friends. Sorry the spite and hate had to capture your lives long live the love and fun you so enjoyed.
Eileen
Firstly I would like to express my great sorrow and best wishes to the friends and families of the six beloved sons of your club. Being around football clubs all my life, I understand the mateship that is developed through playing, training, and just generally being together. This was most unfairly taken away from your club. I would also like to commend you on the way your club has handled this demanding situation. Your courage has inspired not only myself, my friends and family but a nation.

The tragic loss of the members of the Coogee dolphins will never be forgotten may they rest in peace and all the people affected by their loss their spirits will always be in you.

I 'm just happy to have known them. I 'd also like to take this opportunity to thank all the people assosiated with the club. All the current & former players, the coaching staff, officials & all the supporters of the Coogee Dolphins. Thank you for 8yrs of unforgetable memories. Three cheers for the Mighty Dolphins!

My thoughts and deepest sympathies go to all the families and friends of the dolphins players killed. Especially the Thompsons and the Howards.

I don 't know any of you but just wanted to pass on my condolences and that my thoughts are with you. I hope you live the rest of your lives in peace and happiness and live it to the full the way your lost friends would want you to. May they rest in peace.

I have been struggling to find a way to express my feelings since Bal. Nelly and I have done it really hard since 12 Oct. The Dolphins were a part of our life for so long. For me, being an one of the original Dolphins, I felt the club was a part of me, like family. We knew Ads and Shane and they were great blokes , we didnt really know the other guys, but if they were Dolphins, I am sure they 'd have been champions. Our thoughts and our prayers are with you all. This has made us know one thing - we bloody miss Coogee.

So many tears for blokes I never knew - it 's such a time-honoured tradition for boys from the bush to establish themselves in the big smoke through the local footy club. May their memories and what they lived for never be forgotten.

To all Dolphins, I extend my deepest condolences to the families and friends of those in your team affected by the act of absolute cowardice in Bali.
My mother passed away 6 months ago which still hurts as much today as it did back then, so I can understand the pain that is felt by you all.
The sadness of their loss will never leave you, but through time you will remember more and more of the good times you had with your friends and loved ones, and I hope this brings happiness for having known them for the time that you did, rather than be angry at the time that has been taken away.

To Patrick, What a star. Your speech on Saturday night at the benefit dinner was great. Such wonderful news that there is now Dolphin Point at Coogee Beach. Thank you to everyone who was involved in its naming. I look forward to the opening on 12 April 2003 of the memorial to the Dolphin boys.

Thank You to ALL the Dolphins your support at this time, it has been overwhelming. I am looking forward to sitting at Dolphin Point and looking to sea and back to "your club house ". If I can 't have my boy back at least he has died for something constructive. May your dream of a Gym for all become a reality. Thank you Paddy for your commitment to the cause, your dedication to finding the boys and the horror that you, Shorty and Eric endured for your mates and their families at home. You chose to search for them till you found them and for this we are eternally grateful. May God bless you ALL

These six guys, along with the rest of the Dolphins are the best group of mates you could ever ask to meet. After recently moving to sydney, Clint,Ads & the rest of the boys took me in to there club for a great season of footy. I send my sincere condolances to the families of Clint,Ads,Shags,Mav,Josh & Gez. I would also like to wish the dolphins all the best in 2003.

My boyfriend Brad Moon was a member of the Coogee Bay Dolphins in 2002. Although he didn 't make the trip to Bali with the boys, I know deep down he feels saddened by the loss of the boys. He doesn 't talk about it much, because he can 't make sense of it all. No-one can. He knows that no words can make it ok. I taped the Australian 's Unite story for him. I also have had the boy’s names embroided on his team hat. As a little token of my thoughts and respect. Both Brad and I think about the boys and will never forget them. May they rest in peace.

Great Team, Great Blokes, Great Loss

To the Dolphins. You have done your mates proud. What an excellent 2 days at the sevens. The effort, commitment, money and time taken have been appreciated by all. Nothing can replace our boys, although I am sure that many lives have changed for the better. Good has come from bad. They will live on because you have become strong and the rugby world knows you exist. Pride is not a word I usually use But I am so proud of you all-Time has come to look forward, laugh, smile, work and forgive.Dont mourn any longer just remember them with love.

I was so moved when everyone stood while watching the tribute on the big screen on Sunday, during the World Sevens. I was glad that you won...the win was symbolic. You have shown the world that out of the very depths of despair, you could unite and rise to the top again. Be strong and be there for each other.
